The Savannnah R-3 School District seeks a fully certificated counselor to serve Helena and Amazonia Elementary Schools providing full comprehensive counseling services. The ideal candidate will provide academic, emotional, and social support to students, fostering a positive and safe school environment.  This candidate should be able to operate in a team atmosphere and work cooperatively with administration to provide counseling services to meet the needs of a varied student population. This role requires collaboration with staff, students, and families to promote student success and well-being.

Appropriate duties include but are not limited to providing:

• individual student academic planning and goal setting
• school counseling classroom lessons based on student success standards
• short-term counseling to students
• referrals for long-term support
• collaboration with families, teachers, administrators, and community stakeholders for student success
• advocacy for students at Individual Education Plan meetings and other student-focused meetings
• data analysis to identify student issues, needs and challenges
• acting as a systems change agent to improve equity and access, achievement and opportunities for all students

This position is for the upcoming 25-26 school year.
